This IS a good question, but I’m not sure that I know how to answer it.

 I do not want to add to the ‘bad stuff’. But, let me have a shot at this since it has to be a personal experience. In November 2011, I underwent a cancer operation, for want of a better description, age 68. The operation was successful, but I had to fly 1500 km to my hometown for three months of radiotherapy. It was a happy experience because I was staying with my daughter and her husband and I had the use of my son’s Italian sports car! The oncology department was top class. Then I returned home. No further problems. In 2013, I was diagnosed with bronchitis by my G.P., which turned out not to be bronchitis, but Pulmonary Embolisms. A few blood clots had managed to escape all the pre-op precautionaries in 2011. I was hospitalized for a few days and discharged with a prescription, which I was told was for life!
