It’s natural enough to invent ideas about what we do not understand.

If there is a God, it’s going to be having words with its self-appointed PR team at some point. They’ve been exploiting the brand.

I mean, yes, all we are is a pale blue dot in the deep, specks on a speck, but the arrant awfulness emanating from the various immortality hucksters down here is so bad that the smell will eventually permeate the void entirely.

That’s part of the process of exploring.

It’s useful enough to use such ideas to help with village cohesion and to tie them into a cultural narrative. Gotta start somewhere.
